Import Contacts (Subscribers) Via Magic Import

The following is a tutorial on how to import contacts (subscribers) via Magic Import. You can use this method, but importing contacts via Google Sheets is still the one that we recommend the most.

Warning : If the contacts that you import do not comply with our terms one day, your account may be blocked. And, if you are using a prepaid account, then importing in this way will reduce the amount of your credit. Therefore, before importing contacts, make sure that you do not violate the applicable terms in KIRIM.EMAIL and that your credit balance is sufficient.

For how to import contacts with Magic Import, please follow these steps:

Accessing the Import Subscribers Page Via Magic Import

  1. Log in to the aplikasi.kirim.email page.
  2. Click the Lists menu.
  3. On the Manage Lists page, click the Subscribers button on the list that you want to import contacts from.

  4. You are now on the Manage Subscribers page. Click the Options > Import Subscribers button.

  5. click the Import Contacts button.

  6. You are now on the Import Subscribers page.

Importing Contacts (Subscribers)

There are two ways (import type) that you can use to import contacts via this Magic Import method. From these two types, please choose the one that suits your needs. The options include:

  1. Copy Paste
  2. File.

Import Type : Copy Paste

The first way to import contacts is to copy and paste. This can be used when you have a physical document containing contact data and you want to save it in the list that you created.

For example, you have offline activities. You get a list of attendees or a guest book containing your name, mobile number, and email address from these activities. You can import the data using this Copy Paste method by showing us evidence in the form of an attendance list or guest book.

How to import contacts by copy and paste method is relatively easy. You only need to enter the data that you want to import and separate it with a comma (,).

If the data is more than one, you can separate them with enters or change lines.

For example, you want to enter a contact like this:

  • Name Dion Arfan, email address: dion@kirim.email.
  • Name Sholeh Muhammad, email address: sholeh@krm.email.
  • Name Dwi Didit Prasetyo, email address: dwi@krm.email.

So, for the import format with the Copy Paste method, it becomes like this:

  • Dion Arfan,dion@krm.email
  • Sholeh Muhammad,sholeh@krm.email
  • Dwi Didit Prasetyo,dwi@krm.email

Then to use it, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you are already on the Import Subscribers page.
  2. Select the Copy Paste option in the Import Type field.
  3. Write your contact data according to the above format in the Import Source field.
  4. Leave it as it is in the List field.
  5. Click the Browse button to upload the proof of data collection that you will import.
  6. Click the Submit button to proceed to the Data Mapping process.
  7. Continue to the Data Mapping section.

Import Type : File

The second way to import contacts is to use a file.

The way it works is by uploading contacts that are saved in a file in .CSV format. You can download the file here and enter your data in the template.

Then, to use it, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you are already on the Import Subscribers page.
  2. Select the File option in the Import Type field.
  3. Click the Browse button in the Import Source field and upload your file containing the contact data.
  4. Leave it as it is in the List field.
  5. Click the Browse button to upload the proof of data collection that you will import.
  6. Click the Submit button to proceed to the Data Mapping process.
  7. Continue to the Data Mapping section.

Data Mapping

After you import with the Copy Paste or File type, you are currently on the Select Fields page. On this page, you are asked to map the data that you import.

Here you can match the data in the left column with the data in the right column. The steps are as follows:

  1. Specify the field in the Map to Field column that corresponds to each row in the Column to Import column. Example :
    • Dion Arfan => Full Name.
    • dion@kirim.email => Email.
    • If you do not want the data to be entered, select the Do not import this field option.
  2. Click the New Field button if you want to add a new field. (Optional).
  3. Write the tag name for your list in the Tags field. (optional).
  4. Click the Submit button to start the import process.
  5. Click the OK button on the successful import notification.
  6. Then, open your email and look for an email with the subject KIRIM.EMAIL Notification. In this email, you will get information on whether your contact import process was accepted or not.
    • If it is accepted, you can go directly to the list you just imported to see your contact additions.
    • If it is not accepted, you can try importing the contacts in a different way.
  7. After that, you can see how the import progress is like in the following image.
