How To Add A Countdown Timer to Your Email

Adding a countdown timer to your Email can be a solution for you when an event or promotion requires a countdown timer.

For how to add it, please follow these steps:

Creating a Countdown Timer

  1. Log in to the page.
  2. Click the Integrations menu.
  3. Click the Countdown Timer icon.

  4. Click the New Timer button in the upper right corner.

  5. On the New Timer page, fill in the fields on the available form, such as:
    • Timer Name: Write down the name of your countdown timer.
    • End Date: Specify the end date of the countdown timer.
    • End Time: Specify the end time of the countdown timer.
    • Timezone: Select the time zone.
    • Language: Select the language for the labels.
    • Number Color: Specify the color of the number on the countdown timer.
    • Label Color: Specify the label color on the countdown timer.
    • Background Color: Specify the background color of the countdown timer.
    • Font Type: Select the font type.
    • Number Font Size: Specify the font size for the numbers. The default is 36.
    • Label Font Size: Specify the font size on the label. The default is 16.
    • You can preview the results in the Preview section.
  6. Click the Save & Publish button to save.

  7. Click OK on the success notification.
  8. Now your countdown timer has been created and added successfully.
  9. Finished.

Embedding a Countdown Timer

After successfully creating a countdown timer, now it’s time for you to embed your countdown timer. To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the page.
  2. Position your screen on the Countdown Timer page.
  3. Select the Countdown Timer you want to embed, then click the Embed Info in the Action column.

  4. Click the Copy button to copy the embed code.

  5. Create a new email broadcast or email autoresponder.
  6. In the Content section, click the Source button.

  7. Paste the embed code between the <body> and </body> tags.

  8. Click the Source button again, and the results are as in the following image:

  9. Finished.

In addition to using the methods above, you can also use third-party services. To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the countdown timer email service page, such as:
    • Sendtric. It is 100% free, no registration/login required, and no watermark. However, the design is still very simple.
    • Motion Mail App. There are many design options. However, you have to register first, and if you use the free version, there will be a watermark.
    • Countdown Mail. There are many design options. Same as Motion Mail App, here you have to register first, and if you use the free version, there will be a watermark.
  2. Make settings on the countdown timer, and copy the embed code.
  3. Log in to the page and paste the embed code in your email broadcast and email autoresponder. 
  4. Finished.

Note :

  1. This countdown timer embed code can also be embedded in the email autoresponder.
  2. If you use Firefox or Safari browsers, the countdown timer may not appear in the Content Editor. In the tutorial above, we used the Google Chrome browser. However, the email will still appear.
