This tutorial will explain how to use tags in the automation feature.

A tag can be interpreted as a sign. In the context of email marketing, this tag serves to mark subscribers on a list.

For example, there are 100 subscribers in a list that we have. We can mark those who often open our broadcasts and those who rarely open them with this tag.

It turned out that from several broadcasts, those who often opened the email broadcast only 30 people. The 70 people rarely even never open the email that we send.

So from here, we can consider and make a decision on these 70 subscribers, whether to keep or delete those subscribers.

It can actually be done manually by tagging or giving signs to subscribers.

However, if it turns out that the number of subscribers has reached hundreds or even tens of thousands, we need to use the automation feature to do it.

Here’s the guide.

Adding Automatic Tags Through Automations

The first way to do tagging, of course, is to add tags automatically through the automation feature.

To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the aplikasi.kirim.email page.

In this tutorial, we chose Subscribers In List as the trigger.
    Then click the Save button.
  7. Click the + button and specify a Response in the form of Add Tag. Give the tag a name and click the Save button.

And the results are as follows:

  8. Finished.

Viewing Tags Created Through the Automation Feature

In the previous section, you already knew how to add tags through the automation feature.

Next, You will see and make sure the tag has appeared or not on every subscriber that is included in your list.

To do this, please follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to the aplikasi.kirim.email page.
  2. Click the List menu.
  3. Click the SUBSCRIBERS button on the list you have selected in the Automation feature.

  4. Click the DETAIL button on one of the subscribers.

  5. On the Contact Details page, pay attention to the Subscriber Details tab. There is a field called “Tags” which is automatically filled in with the tags you created using the automation feature.

This means creating or adding tags through the automation feature is successful.
